Successful participation of Dortmund Master's students in award ceremonies

As part of the Young Statistician Session at the DAGStat 2025, the Master's theses by Jan-Bernd Igelmann (Optimal Designs for Non-Linear Segmented Regression) and Loreen Sabel (Projections of Multidimensional Count Data IRT Models and Their Empirical Indistinguishability) were awarded prizes.
The work of Daniel Klippert(An Analysis of Causal Inference Methods for Competing Risks) and Pauline Baur (A Survival Tree Based on the Copula-Graphic Estimator) was also honored with the prestigious Bernd Streitberg Prize. This prize recognizes outstanding biometric qualification work by young scientists without a doctorate and places particular emphasis on scientific excellence, transparency and innovative methodology.
We are also very pleased about Merle Munko, who is now doing her doctorate at Otto von Guericke in Magdeburg, but completed her Master's degree in Dortmund. Her work, which was carried out as part of a joint DFG project by JProf. Marc Ditzhaus† and Prof. Markus Pauly, with JProf. Dennis Dobler as co-author, was awarded the Gustav Adolf Lienert Prize. This prize honors outstanding biometric work by young scientists and takes into account not only scientific excellence but also innovative approaches in biometrics.
We would like to congratulate all award winners on this success!
