In the week of August 7-11, 2023, Christina Sauer from the IBE of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich will visit the research group of Markus Pauly.

Christina Sauer (née Nießl) is a research associate in the research group "Biometry in Molecular Medicine", which is led by Anne-Laure Boulesteix at the Institute of Medical Information Processing, Biometry and Epidemiology (IBE) of Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) in Munich. Christina's research includes overoptimism in genetic analyses and performance evaluation of (especially newly developed) methods. She will present about her research during her stay at the Statistical Colloquium.

The research groups of Markus Pauly and Anne-Laure Boulesteix are collaborating on a project on sampling realistic simulation settings, partial results of which will be presented at CEN (Central European Network) in Basel in September. In the context of this project, Maria Thurow from Markus Pauly's working group already visited Anne-Laure Boulesteix's working group in Munich in June.
